With Netmonic, your have the option to acquire virtual servers, the so-called Cloud Servers and to register Internet Domains, to host Web.Spaces, to construct databases and use an unlimited number of E-Mail addresses. Furthermore Netmonic offers for your Domain hosting redundantly running DNS Servers, free of charge. With every single registered E-Mail adress you have access to Webmail, therefore being able to read and work on your E-Mails at any time.

When choosing the size of your Cloud Server you must consider multiple factors.The bigger your server is, the more guaranteed CPU performance is available for you.The more simultaneous transactions you expect on your Cloud Server, the more powerful your Cloud server should be. Additionally the processes or programs which are very CPU intensive or use up a lot of storage space, need to be given special consideration. The choice of storage space influences the choice of your Cloud Server. Netmonic strongly suggests the following Cloud Servers:
- Mailserver with low operating grade - from Cloud Server 0.2
- Loadbalancer for Applicationserver - from Cloud Server 0.2
- FTP-Server with few Data - from Cloud Server 0.2

A Netmonic registered Domain can earliest be cancelled 1 year after registration.

In the Netmonic Manager your can manage all products acquired from Netmonic.
You have the option, with extra charge (according to used storage space) between a daily, weekly or for just one back up. Timing is up to you.
You can restore your Cloud Server. The time it takes to restore your system will be influenced by the amount of storage space used.
All you need to do is send us an E-Mail a we will manually perform the upgrade.
You have the freedom to format your system at any time. Please consider a backup of your data before doing so.
The safety of your data when reformatting your system must be secured by backups for which you are in control. The restoring of your data is only possible if you have performed those backups! Should you not have any backups on your system,your data will be irrevocably lost.
By a simple click on the Management-Interface your server can be restarted
By default only an SSH is installed on the server. Therefore you can access it over the SSH (Port 22). For Windows Netmonic recommends PuTTY. Linux and Mac user can open a SSH-Connection over the console.
Netmonic offers a console in the Manager, with which you can access your Cloud server through a normal browser.
You have forgotten the Root Password of your CLoud server? You can request a newly generated password. This password will be sent to you by E-Mail. In this process we restart your Cloud server, which will make it unavailable for a short while
Through the Netmonic you can define a Firewall which you can install onto your Server. This Firewall protects the server.
On your Cloud Servers you can install any software which can be legally acquired. Netmonic does not control whether the software that you have installed is legally acquired. Should however, Netmonic be informed by a third party about illegal use of applications, Netmonic holds the right, to act on the infected servers and is allowed to put you offline during the process of solving the issue.
Yes, of course you can run Ruby on Rails Applications on your servers. You can configure your servers as you wish and install any software which has been legally acquired.

Currently there are two experimental versions of the manager for for mobile phones. However the functions are limited.
YOu receive unlimited root access on your server. Experience in the area of server administration is very useful and recommended. Should you come across problems in this area, a lot of helpful information can be found in the internet or otherwise choose one of our Webspace products. There, no server administration knowledge is required.
Your domains (also those that were not registered over Netmonic) can be managed free of charge with Netmonic. Netmonic offers redundantly running primary DNS Server, but also secondary DNS Server in Europe and the USA.
You can receive e_mails through your E-Mail Inbox, running on protocols POP3 and IMAP4, locked via TLS.
Yes. Next to Webmail you can receive all your E-Mails on your own computer. For this the following data must be presented:
- incoming mail (POP3 oder IMAP4): mail.netmonic.com
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.netmonic.com
- Activate TLS Encoding
If you own multiple E-Mail addresses, the option of forwarding is fully yours. Due to this you will receive an E-Mail with the additional messages which have been forwarded from your other E-Mail accounts.
Should you not be able to answer E-mails for a longer period of time, the possibility exists to have an automatic reply message that is sent with every received E-mail. For example: "Thank you for your message, I will get back to you as soon as possible."
Netmonic runs redundant Web Server with Scripting language PHP5.
In the Netmonic Manager you can establish Databases. With the correct Username and Password you can access your Database via PHP5
Until further notice you can establish an unlimited number of Databases. You will have 15 simultaneous connections per Database at your disposal. However Netmonic holds the right, when detecting abuse to reduce the number of Databases per person.
